I found the perfect place to take your next date out for dinner this summer- Chez Victoire. A French Bistro in the Plateau that has something for everyone-  you can order a burger, seafood, market-fresh vegetable dishes, and great wine. This place also has a terrace. Basically, you should reserve right now. Summer is not over yet, so why not throw in as many al fresco dinners as possible while we still can.....

Let's talk food...their menu is amazing and if you're anything like me, you will want to order EVERYTHING. We asked our extremely helpful and knowledgeable waitress for some recommendations and decided on the dishes pictured below. I HIGHLY recommend the cauliflower and truffle- a giant roasted cauliflower served with truffle, bacon, and brussel sprouts- all of my favourites in one dish. Both the homemade cavatelli and halibut featured lobster (another favourite of mine) and were also impressive, but the roasted cauliflower stole the show.

Pan Seared Halibut - Gnocchi, Rutabaga, & Lobster Bisque

Roasted Cauliflower and Truffle with Bacon and brussel sprouts

Not only does this spot serve great food and wine, I also felt that it was very down to earth - no pretentiousness - making me fall even more for this French-inspired gem on Mont Royal street.

Should I reserve? Definitely. Find last minute reservations on DINR.
Could I take a date here? YES!
